At 3:00 AM, I'll be on an airporter on my way to Philadelphia for my first Quantum Leap meeting. It is so exciting to be going to participate in a group where I know that highly qualified professional mentors are going to be helping me become the person I want to become and live the life I want to live.
What price tag does one put on creating their dream life?
Signing up for this program required me to overcome my fear of spending money, but in light of the question above, what am I actually afraid of??
I know the information I am going to learn about topics like writing books, public speaking, creating teleseminars, direct marketing, & pitching the media, as well as the connections I am going to make are super valuable. So, the only thing I really have to fear is that despite all the expert support, I will fail because I am just not good enough to succeed.
I know it may sound almost silly, but I have never forgotten that my high school class voted me the girl "Most Likely to Succeed" and I feel like I am about to deliver on their faith in me. (Thank you any high school friends who read this!)
I know that many people don't think too highly of themselves. Unfortunately, so many people have absorbed messages which make them doubt their own self-worth. I have had my fair share of such experiences. However, I firmly that believe that everyone has unique gifts to share and that the greatest obstacle holding them back is the self-critical thoughts in their own heads. The second obstacle is just not knowing how to create a successful business out of their ideas. This can be learned. Many models exist to copy. Look around you.
It takes practice to stop self-limiting beliefs. Usually, you need some form of support. As you gain ground in tuning them out, your vision of what you want and how to achieve it will grow stronger. You will probably realize that there is some information you need to know to help you accomplish your goals. Seek it out!! That's what all the success coaches will tell you.
Don't let ignorance hold you back or prevent you from connecting with the people who will benefit from your skills.
Don't short change your own dreams by not seeking the information you need. Even if you don't have a lot of extra income, you can get a wealth of information from the library to start you off. Whether you have time or money, invest what you can. You'll enjoy your life so much more!!
